Criminal Defence Terms of Engagement
Our privacy statement complies with the 2020 New Zealand Privacy Act. All gathered information/data and personal details will only be used for the purpose for which they have been provided. Case details will not be disclosed to third parties unless required to do so in law. You may update your personal details and case information at any time. Case information is securely disposed of after 12 months.
TERMS OF INVESTIGATION
1. All clients accept these terms once an estimate has been approved.2. A deposit on all estimated case work may be required for out of Hamilton work.3. All invoices are expected to be paid by the due date, normally 10 days.4. Consequences of payment defaults will result in the client being responsible for all collection costs of the outstanding amount for both barristers and private defendants clients.5. All communications between the client (Barrister and or defendant) and I-On Investigations are “Privileged Communications” except for attached work for the purpose of the client's case file. 6. Private defendant clients who engage I-On Investigations will pay a deposit + fortnight progress payments and will have no information realesed untll the total invoice is paid in full. 7. Deposits are not refundable.

LEGAL AID
I-On Investigations Ltd supplies an estimate that can be pre-approved by Legal Aid that will guarantee payment to our clients (for Barristers only). When I-On Investigations completes the work we expect to receive payment on the invoice by the due date.
